Description Johnson’s Spot-On dual action spot-on flea treatment kills fleas and biting lice as well as killing flea larvae in the area around your dog. The active ingredient is imidaclopramid, which is veterinary approved (& is also the active ingredient in the Bayer product ‘Advantage’ which vets commonly prescribe/dispense). Each pack contains two pipettes, each of which prevent further flea infestation for 4 weeks, so providing 8 weeks prevention altogether. This product is suitable for the prevention and treatment of flea infestations and for the treatment of biting lice (trichodectes canis) in dogs over 8 weeks of age. Fleas are killed within one day following treatment and one treatment prevents further flea infestation for four weeks. (Each pack contains two treatments.) In addition to the adulticide flea efficacy of imicloprid, a larvcididal flea efficacy in the surrounds of the treated pet has been demonstrated in studies. Larval stages in the pet’s suirroundings are killed following contact with a treated animall. If signs of disease persist or appear, we recommend consulting a veterinary surgeon.
