Carnauba Wax is a natural vegetable wax obtained from the leaves of Brazilian palm tree (copernicia cerifera) . Carnauba Wax is the hardest natural wax available. Yellow flakes. Soluble in alcohol, insoluble in water. Melting point 80-85°C/176-185°F. Use: Warm to melt before use. Add to fat phase in formulas requiring emulsification. Typical use level 2-40%. Applications: Carnauba wax can produce a glossy finish and as such is used in automobile waxes, shoe polishes, dental floss, food products such as sweets, Musical instruments polishes, and floor and furniture waxes and polishes, especially when mixed with beeswax and with turpentine.
