Treble Bleed Kit for Humbuker TREBLE LOSS WHEN LOWERING GUITAR VOLUME An almost inevitable situation is the loss of treble when we lower the volume of our guitar. This, combined with a bad choice in our potentiometer (see article) means that many people just use the volume control as if it were an ON/OFF switch. However, we can reduce these inconveniences and make the most of our guitar. The MOD is simple and inexpensive. It consists of adding a 150K resistor and a 0.001uF capacitor in parallel between the 2 terminals of the 500k potentiometer. For Single Coils use a 0.0025uF capacitor and a 220K resistance.
